Mother Pia, ‘the tender one’ as her name means in Latin, in whose loving memory the Mother Pia Memorial Interschool Competitions have been instituted, had been very closely associated with this school.
In her 14 years tenure here, this fledgling school bloomed into a full- fledged institution, by adding a Nursery Wing and a Primary Block to its already existing building and well-tended gardens.
Mother Pia had touched the lives of many a person, besides her students and staff: the unemployed who secured a job, the youth who found a life partner , the destitute, the brides who were gifted jewellry , roofless who were financed to make the down payment for land / house , the out-station patients who received better treatment , the tourist who found comfortable accommodation, all through her mediation.
These competitions were started in the year 2000 and cover the performing arts which were so dear to Mother Pia, be it song, dance, painting, dramatization or elocution. They have received a reassuring response from many prestigious schools of Delhi who participate in them each year, and have added to the popularity of the school.
